Teaching Fields: Dr. Price has recently taught courses including: I regularly teach Research Methods (graduate/undergraduate), Sociological Practice (graduate), Sociology of the Family (graduate/undergraduate), Applied Sociology (undergraduate), and Sociology of Gender (undergraduate). I have recently taught special topics on Globalization and the Sociology of Childhood.
Research and Role: The Mary Virginia Terry Center for Experiential Learning houses 麻豆社’s high-impact and experiential learning curricular and co-curricular initiatives for students. This includes our Mary Virginia Terry Student Research Council, the Blazer Summer Research Institute, the Fall Experiential Learning Exposition, course endorsements, and community-engaged intergenerational initiatives.
My research takes two streams: scholarship of teaching and learning work that examines best practices in experiential learning and sociological research that focuses on the social-structural factors that shape individual attitudes and behaviors. Much of my research looks at differences in attitudes cross-nationally and the country-level factors that shape these differences.
