
Dr. Forrest Parker
Assistant Professor
Dr. Forrest R. Parker III is an Assistant Professor of Education at 麻豆社. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Auburn University and teaches courses in classroom management and developmentally appropriate practice. His teaching is grounded in real-world experience, including over a decade of service in Georgia public schools with a focus on students with emotional and behavioral disorders.
Dr. Parker’s scholarship centers on social-emotional learning (SEL), educator preparation, classroom culture, and the role of grace in equitable education. He is the author of Classroom Management: Building a Culture of Grace (Cognella, 2025) and has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and academic conferences.
In addition to his teaching and research, Dr. Parker is deeply engaged in faculty governance and educator development. He serves on Faculty Senate and the Faculty Executive Committee as President of the Faculty Senate, Program Coordinator for the MAT programs in Elementary, Middle, and Secondary Education, and Editor-in-Chief of the GATEways to Teacher Education journal.
